This summer, our students will be attending Mission Fuge which combines a camp experience with missions projects. The students are selling mulch to help raise money for this camp. Help them out and get a jump on your spring yard work. Student ministry staff are in the ministry corner today with complete details including prices and delivery options.


All About Kids Productions (AAKP), performing arts day camp. July 9th – 14th, open to children currently in 1st – 7th grade. Registration is now open. Go to FBCLaurel.com/AAKP for complete details and to register.

 #3 Do you know Annie Armstrong?

She was a Southern Baptist leader who helped to create the Woman’s Missionary Union and the North American Missions offering is named in her honor. The offering helps support Southern Baptist missionaries to impact North America with the gospel through evangelism and church planting. Our offering goal this year is $5,000 Starting today, March 5th, we dedicate a week of prayer for North American missionaries. You can use the prayer guide and envelope in this Sunday’s worship folder to pray and give toward this offering.

MEMBERSHIP MATTERS – Class Begins Sunday at 9:15

The Membership Matters class will be at 9:15 am in the conference room. This class is for all who are interested in taking the next step of becoming a member of First Baptist Church. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about FBCL!


This Sunday, March 5th at 6:00 pm, we’re hosting an African Worship Service. This will be a time of praise, intercession and prayer. The guest speaker that evening will be Remi Badru. Originally from Nigeria he is now serving as a missionary with the North American Mission Board.


Join us at 9:15 am on Sunday morning when we offer a variety of Sunday School small groups. We offer something for every age! Stop at the connections desk for details.

Child Dedication – Mother’s Day

We’ll have a Child Dedication Service in May on Mother’s Day. If you’re interested in having a child (of any age) dedicated please contact the church office and ask for Barbara Scott for more details.


We’re celebrating our 125th anniversary as a church April 9th. Your help is needed to get the word out. Go to FBCLaurel.com/125 and scroll down to the bottom of the page. You will find easy ways to share this event by email or on Facebook and Twitter.

Missionary Need:  Use of Car

IMB missionaries Larry & Josie Moon will be in the Laurel area from approximately April 9th – May 9th and need the use of a car while they are here. (The Moons were sent to the mission field from our church. They’ve been on stateside assignment and are preparing to return to Russia.) If you have a vehicle they could use for any or all of that time, contact Jane Mitchell.

Need for Household Goods

Extend-A-Hand ministry is working with 6 individuals/families who have just moved or will move into housing in the next few weeks. They’re in need of household goods, cleaning items/supplies, and furniture. If you have items you can donate they can be left on the donation table across from the Ministry Corner. If you have questions or if a Sunday School class or small group would like to “adopt” a person/family, please contact Cheryl Rowe.


Open to children ages 3 through 14 and all current FBSL students K-3 through 8th grade. 6:00 am to 6:30 pm. Preschoolers must be completely potty-trained. For more information and to register go to our website www.fbslaurel.com and click on Summer Camp.


The FBS Open House will be Saturday, March 11th,10:00 am-12:00 pm. There will be a tour of the school, a meet and greet with principal Gall and you will learn more about the curriculum. Please contact the school office if you have questions 301 490-1076.
