#1 Night of Prayer – Sunday Night at 6:00 pm

April 30th at 6:00 pm, we are asking you to join us as we pray for our community, our nation, and for the advancement of the gospel. Other Laurel churches will join us. Night of Prayer is being held in conjunction with the National Day of Prayer, which is Thursday, May 4th.

#2 International Sunday – Next Sunday, May 7

Our annual celebration of International Sunday will be next week, May 7th. There are several ways we would like you to participate. First, come to the morning worship services dressed in the clothing that represents your country of origin. Next, we invite you back at 2:00 pm for an international fellowship meal. Please bring a dish to share that represents your country. There will be a serving table for each country that is represented. Please email the missions committee to let them know what you will be bringing – missions@fbclaurel.com.

#3 MAIN STREET FESTIVAL VOLUNTEER SIGN-UP

Please sign up this Sunday to be a volunteer at the church’s booth at Laurel’s Main Street Festival on Saturday, May 13th.  There are many tasks that contribute to this significant outreach event, such as set-up, clean-up, handing out literature bags, and greeting our neighbors. There are sign-up sheets for each task out in the foyer.

Bible Study FOR ALL AGES

Join us at 9:15 am on Sunday morning when we offer a variety of Bible Study small groups. We offer something for every age! Stop at the connections desk for details.

POWER UP FOR GRADES 1 – 5

Children will be directed to meet the group leaders who will escort them to the services during the 10:30 worship service. After service, children will be returned to rejoin their parents. PARENTS: Please stay in the FLC until your child returns. We ask that all children either remain with their parents in service or be escorted to and from children’s services by their leaders.

IN THE MINISTRY CORNER

The LINUS Ministry makes blankets to be distributed to children in area hospitals. Since this ministry started at FBCL, 500 blankets have been made! They have been a blessing to so many families. The Ladies from LINUS meet on Monday mornings from 9:00 am -11:00 am at church and they’d love to have you join them.  If you have any questions, please contact Mitsn Mitchell.
