FBCL TOP 3  October 1, 2017

 #1 – Hurricane Donation Drive
Ready Church Project, and the City of Laurel have organized a collection drive on October 7th, 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, to benefit hurricane victims. Monetary donations will support the purchase of Crisis Support Buckets, in coordination with the Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware, for victims in the Caribbean, Florida, and Texas. Participants may also donate materials for health/hygiene kits to be distributed as needed. Include in a two gallon zip-lock bag (whatever size the items will fit into is fine) or a 14 x 12 drawstring, cloth bag, the following items: A large bath towel, large comb (no rat tail combs), wash cloth, shampoo (full size), toothbrush (adult), soap (full size bar), toothpaste (large) and deodorant.  #2 – Multiply Discipleship

Tonight at 6:00 pm, join us as we continue to discover what it means to be a disciple-making disciple. We are working through David Platt and Francis Chan’s material, “Multiply.” Don’t worry if you missed the previous session as the information presented tonight will be of great benefit to you. Tonight’s session will be held in the Choir Room, room A110.

#3 – Children’s Choir Launch

The Children’s Choir will be launching it’s fall season tonight in preparation for Merry Christmas Laurel. Children who are currently in grades 1 – 6 are invited to come learn how we can worship God and encourage each other through music. The Children’s Choir will be meeting on Sundays, from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm in the Choir Room, room A110.

Bible Study FOR ALL AGES

Join us at 9:15 am on Sunday morning when we offer a variety of Bible Study small groups. We offer something for every age! Stop at the connections desk for details.

DEACONS’ FUND

Today, the first Sunday of the month, is designated as Deacons’ Fund Sunday. Please give toward the benevolent fund. The fund is intended primarily to help members of FBCL, and secondly to help residents of the greater Laurel area, with emergency needs.

DEADLY SE7EN” SMALL GROUPS

We’re focusing our teaching and discipleship on the seven deadly sins. There are small group studies to go with each message and a daily devotional guide. Check our website: fbclaurel.com/deadlyseven. It’s not too late to sign up for a small group at the Connections desk!

OCTOBER SHARE FOOD ORDERS

The October menu for SHARE Food is available in the foyer kiosk as well as posted on the bulletin boards. The order deadline date is October 7th.

DOMESTIC MISSIONS “VISION” TRIP DEADLINE THIS SUNDAY

October 27th and 28th, Wake Forrest NC. “Reaching The Nations in North America” – an intense weekend of study to investigate how FBCL can reach our international neighbors in Laurel. $180 includes hotel, gas and registration. Preparations for Painting our Doors…

The Trustees need your help to prepare our many FLC doors and front doors before they can be painted. We will begin on Columbus Day (Monday, Oct 9), at 9:00am. Sandpaper and other   supplies will be provided but if you have a palm or hand sander, please bring it. Thank you.

Upward Basketball and Cheerleading
Registration is  open for Upward Basketball and Cheerleading. Practices begin on the first week of January. Children in K4 through 7th grade can register to play and cheer. UNITED IN PRAYER – STATE MISSIONS OFFERING

This offering supports local evangelism projects in the Maryland/Delaware area. A prayer guide is available in the foyer kiosk for specific prayer needs focused on local outreach. Use the envelopes in the foyer kiosk or indicate State Missions on your check. We have currently collected:$1,629.
