 #1: “I Am N” Voice Of The Martyrs STUDY

We will begin a six week study from Voice of the Martyrs entitled “I Am N”.  “I Am N” is a powerful series that takes you into the true stories of Christians living in Muslim countries around the world. The study will begin on September 13th from 6:30 pm -7:30 pm and will last 6 weeks.

Beginning September 17th we’ll focus our teaching and discipleship on the seven deadly sins. There will be small group studies to go with each message and a daily devotional guide. You

can sign up for a small group or to host a group at the Connections desk today!

Bible Study FOR ALL AGES

Join us at 9:15 am on Sunday morning when we offer a variety of Bible Study small groups. We offer something for every age! Stop at the connections desk for details.


October 27th and 28th, Wake Forrest NC. “Reaching The Nations in North America” – an intense weekend of study to investigate how FBCL can reach our international neighbors in Laurel. $180 includes hotel, gas and registration. SHARE Food orders for September are due by 12:00 noon, September 10th. The Distribution date will be Saturday, September 23rd.

Bibles for Kenya!

MBS is preparing for another shipment to send to our brothers and sisters in Mombasa, Kenya. We need your used Bibles, bible related study materials, and biblical literature (adult, teens and children). Sunday is the last day to drop off materials in the Sunday School office.


If you have been reading “The Prodigal Church” by Jared C. Wilson, then please join us Sunday, September 17th at 5:00 pm in Room B108 for discussion of the book.


We are beginning a once a month time of discipleship instruction beginning September 10th from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm. We will be working thru David Platt and Francis Chan’s material “Multiply.” If you are interested in getting your head around this “Disciples Making Disciples” concept, this will be worth your while. Please feel free to invite others along with you.

Wednesday Night Activities Restart

September 13th, all of our regular Wednesday night activities for children and youth will begin for the fall season: Mission Friends (Preschool ages 2-5), Boys and Girls missions programs (Grades 1-5), Youth Group (Grades 6-12).

Fall series – “Deadly Se7en”

“Deadly Se7en” begins on September 17th in our morning services. The seven deadly sins were first compiled around the year 600. They are pride, greed, lust, wrath, gluttony, envy, and sloth. There will be a small group study to go along with each message and a daily devotional guide compiled by our staff. We hope that you will plan on attending each week and invite your friends.


The Children’s Ministry is looking for energetic volunteers to help lead or assist with PowerUp. Children, 1st – 5th grade, gather for worship, drama, and study each week (except first Sunday, monthly) during the 10:30 am service. Please consider serving in this high-energy, fun-filled,  Jesus centered ministry. We’ll be interviewing folks that express an interest.
