FBCL TOP 3  September 24, 2017

 #1: VISION NIGHT

We will be hosting our Vision and Dessert Night, September 24th at 6:00 pm. This is a time to come and hear the vision for our next season of ministry. Pastor Brent and others will be presenting topics such as our discipleship process, missions strategy, and worship service schedules among others. You will have a chance to ask questions in an open forum on these topics. Join us at 6:00 pm and bring your favorite dessert to share with others.

#2: Upward Basketball and Cheerleading
Registration is now open for Upward Basketball and Cheerleading. The season begins with practices on the first week of January. Children who are in K4 through 7th grade are able to   register to play and cheer. You can take advantage of early pricing by registering and paying the league fees by October 16th. #3: MISSIONS “VISION” TRIP

The Missions Committee is sponsoring an overnight weekend trip on October 27th – 28th to Wake Forest, North Carolina. Join your Mission Committee as we learn how to reach our international neighbors here in Laurel. Bible Study FOR ALL AGES

Join us at 9:15 am on Sunday morning when we offer a variety of Bible Study small groups. We offer something for every age! Stop at the connections desk for details.

DEADLY SE7EN” SMALL GROUPS

We’re focusing our teaching and discipleship on the seven deadly sins. There are small group studies to go with each message and a daily devotional guide. Check our website: fbclaurel.com/deadlyseven. It’s not too late to sign up for a small group at the Connections desk!

EVANGELISM

We will start “xee” evangelism training for ten weeks starting Friday, September 29th from 6:00 pm – 8:15 pm. Pastor Nathan will be teaching the class.

DEACONS’ FUND

Next Sunday, the first Sunday of the month, is designated as Deacons’ Fund Sunday. Please give toward the benevolent fund. The fund is intended primarily to help members of FBCL, and secondly to help residents of the greater Laurel area, with emergency needs.

Calling all Soccer Players…

For our annual FBCL-English service versus FBCL-Hispanic service soccer game. The game will be held Sunday, October 1st. The start time will be, 3:00 pm ; Age-level : 18+.  Come to play or just to fellowship and cheer the teams on. Contact  Ko Klaver, to sign up as a player. UNITED IN PRAYER – STATE MISSIONS OFFERING

This offering supports local evangelism projects in the Maryland/Delaware area. A prayer guide is available in the foyer kiosk for specific prayer needs focused on local outreach. Use the envelopes in the foyer kiosk or indicate State Missions on your check. We have currently collected:$706.

DOMESTIC MISSIONS “VISION” TRIP

October 27th and 28th, Wake Forrest NC. “Reaching The Nations in North America” – an intense weekend of study to investigate how FBCL can reach our international neighbors in Laurel. $180 includes hotel, gas and registration. POWER UP HELP NEEDED

We’re looking for volunteers to help lead or assist with PowerUp. Children, 1st – 5th grade, meet each week (except first Sunday, monthly) during the 10:30 am service. Contact Donna Klaver at donna@fbclaurel.com with any questions or to set up an interview

If you’ve lost  glasses, water bottles or any other item recently, please check our lost and found. Any unclaimed items will be donated to Extend-A-Hand on October 8th (Room B106).
