FBCL TOP 3  October  15, 2017

 #1 – Operation Christmas Child (OCC) Shoebox Ministry
Mark your calendar for the “Pick Up a Shoebox” Sunday on October 29th and plan to pack a box that will be handed to a child somewhere in the world by Samaritan’s Purse. Look for the collection box near the Ministry Corner. Then plan to attend the local Processing Center shift on Tuesday, December 5th, 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm to help finalize thousands of boxes for shipping.


A brand-new class on how to get connected. Starting Point begins with lunch on Sunday at 12:00 pm. After lunch, Starting Point will move into an insider’s look at the values, core beliefs, and vision of FBCL. Interaction is encouraged and no question is off-limits during the discussion. #3 Upward Basketball and Cheerleading

Bible Study FOR ALL AGES

Join us at 9:15 am on Sunday morning when we offer a variety of Bible Study small groups. We offer something for every age! Stop at the connections desk for details.

Diverse City Student Ministry

We welcome students, 6th -12th grade, to join us Sunday mornings from 9:15 am – 10:15 am for a time to discuss deep questions and further their faith. We also welcome you to join us Wednesday nights, from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm in the Student Life Center for a time of fellowship, games, teaching, and small groups. Member’s Meeting – October 18, 7:00 pm

Please join us for the next Member’s Meeting on Wednesday, October 18 at 7:00 pm in the Chapel. Member’s Meetings are vibrant with people praying for the church mission, celebrating milestones and victories in ministry, and gaining a deeper understanding of our envisioned future.

Attention Women 18 to 108

New six-week woman’s Bible study. Tuesdays, starting October 17th, 10:00 am in room A107, Led by Tammie Marshall. Beth Moore’s “The Quest”. Learn to dig into the Word, to respond to the questions of God, and to bring your questions before Him. Learn to pray to promote intimacy with God. Learn to read and respond to Scripture. Track your quest by journaling along the way. Sign up this Sunday in the Ministry Corner or contact Tammie Marshall for info.

Children’s Choir

The Children’s Choir is launching it’s fall season in preparation for Merry Christmas Laurel. Children who are currently in grades 1 – 6 are invited to come learn how we can worship God and encourage each other through music. The Children’s Choir will be meeting on Sundays, from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm in the Choir Room, room A110.


Winter Shelter is the week after Thanksgiving! Here’s the mission’s “Pray, Give, Go” so you and your family can start planning your missionary role: PRAY for the missionaries and homeless shelter guests. GIVE full-size toiletries and men’s socks. GO on mission right here by signing up to help serve, feed, and house our guests for the week. Start praying now and looking out for more info to come on how YOU can PRAY, GIVE and GO on mission at Winter Shelter.


This offering supports local evangelism projects in the Maryland/Delaware area. A prayer guide is available in the foyer kiosk for specific prayer needs focused on local outreach. Use the envelopes in the foyer kiosk or indicate State Missions on your check. We have currently collected: $1,896.
