FBCL TOP 3  October  22, 2017

 #1 – Starting Point – November 12th
Starting Point is a brand-new class for anyone who wants to move beyond just attending to connecting meaningfully with FBCL. The next Starting Point will be held on Sunday, November 12th from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm. Lunch is on us! Starting Point will give you an insider’s look at the values, core beliefs, and vision of FBCL. #2 – Upward Basketball and Cheerleading
It’s not too late to register your children for Upward Basketball and Cheerleading. Boys and girls who are in K4 through 7th grade can play. We are also looking for men and women who are willing to be a coach or referee in our league. Those who are interested should contact Corey Nees at basketbal@fbclaurel.com. #3 Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Ministry

Pick Up a Shoebox this Sunday and next Sunday in the Ministry Corner. Get a box and a brochure with suggestions on what to send to a child somewhere in the world. There will also be information on how to sign up for the local Processing Center shift on Tuesday, December 5th, 6:00 pm-10:00 pm to help finalize thousands of boxes for shipping around the world.

SUNDAY EVENING SERVICE

Join us Sunday night at 6:00 pm as Ralph Hastings-Spaine leads our evening service in the Chapel.

Bible Study FOR ALL AGES

Join us at 9:15 am on Sunday morning when we offer a variety of Bible Study small groups. We offer something for every age! Stop at the connections desk for details.

POWER UP FOR GRADES 1 – 5

Children will be directed to meet the group leaders who will escort them to Power Up during the 10:30 worship service. After service, children will be returned to rejoin their parents. PARENTS: Please stay in the FLC until your child returns. We ask that all children either remain with their parents in service or be escorted to and from children’s services by their leaders.

Diverse City Student Ministry

We welcome students, 6th -12th grade, to join us Sunday mornings from 9:15 am – 10:15 am for a time to discuss deep questions and further their faith. We also welcome you to join us Wednesday nights, from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm in the Student Life Center for a time of fellowship, games, teaching, and small groups. Children’s Choir

Children currently in grades 1 – 6 . The Children’s Choir will be meeting on Sundays, from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm in the Choir Room, room A110. October 22nd is the last opportunity to join.

Attention Women 18 to 108

A six-week woman’s Bible study – session 2, Tuesday, October 24th, 10:00 am. Beth Moore’s “The Quest”. Learn to pray to promote intimacy with God. Track your quest by journaling. Contact Tammie for info.

13th ANNUAL LARS TURKEY TROT

LARS (Laurel Advocacy and Referral Services) will hold its Turkey Trot and 1 mile walk at McCullough Field, 8th and Montgomery Street, on November 23rd at 8:00 am. Registration is $35.00 now and $40.00 in November. Register at : https://register.chronotrack.com/r/30685.

Winter Shelter is the week after Thanksgiving! Start praying now and looking out for more info to come on how YOU can PRAY, GIVE and GO on mission at Winter Shelter.

UNITED IN PRAYER – STATE MISSIONS OFFERING

This offering supports local evangelism projects in the Maryland/Delaware area. Envelopes are available in the foyer kiosk or indicate State Missions on your check. Currently collected: $3,881.
