FBCL TOP 3  November 5, 2017

 #1 – Multiply Discipleship
The Multiply Discipleship session is Sunday night, November 5th at 6:00 pm, in the Chapel. Join us as we continue to discover what it means to be disciples-making disciples. We are working through David Platt and Francis Chan’s material, “Multiply.” Don’t worry if you missed previous sessions. Make plans to be a part of this opportunity to grow as a disciple of Jesus.

#2 – STARTING POINT – Register On This Sunday’s Happenings Insert
Starting Point is a brand-new class for anyone who wants to move beyond just attending to connecting meaningfully with FBCL. The next Starting Point will be held Sunday, November 12th from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm.  Lunch is on us and childcare is available. You can register for next week’s Starting Point this Sunday by completing the registration form inserted into the Sunday Happening’s announcements. Leave your completed registration form at the Connections desk in the foyer.

 #3 Merry Christmas Laurel – December 10th, 6:00 pm
Mark your calendars and save the date for this year’s Merry Christmas Laurel. This concert event will be an excellent opportunity to invite your friends to join us in a relaxed atmosphere. Look for more details to come in the next few weeks.

Discipleship Night

Join us Sunday night at 6:00 pm in the Chapel for FBCL Discipleship Night

Bible Study FOR ALL AGES

Join us at 9:15 am on Sunday morning when we offer a variety of Bible Study small groups. We offer something for every age! Stop at the connections desk for details.

NO POWER UP FOR GRADES 1 – 5

The first Sunday of every month, children will remain in the Family Life Center (FLC) for family worship. PowerUp will resume next week, November 12th.

Diverse City Student Ministry

We welcome students, 6th -12th grade, to join us Sunday mornings from 9:15 am – 10:15 am for a time to discuss deep questions and further their faith. We also welcome you to join us Wednesday nights, from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm in the Student Life Center for a time of fellowship, games, teaching, and small groups.

DEACONS’ FUND

This Sunday, the first Sunday of the month, is designated as Deacons’ Fund Sunday. Please give toward the benevolent fund. The fund is intended primarily to help members of FBCL, and secondly to help residents of the greater Laurel area, with emergency needs.

NOVEMBER SHARE FOOD ORDERS

The deadline to order November SHARE Food packages is 12:00 noon this Sunday, November 5th. The distribution date will be Saturday, November 18th.

OPEN HOUSE AT FIRST BAPTIST SCHOOL

You are cordially invited to attend an FBSL Open House, Friday, November 10th, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. There will be a tour of the school, a meet and greet with our principal Mr.Gall, and you will learn more about the curriculum. Contact the school office if you have questions 301 490-1076.

Upward Basketball and Cheerleading

It’s not too late to register for Upward Basketball and Cheerleading. Children who are in K4 through 7th grade are able to register to play and cheer. Don’t wait – For details and to register go to LaurelUpward.com. Registration ends November 11th.

13th ANNUAL LARS TURKEY TROT

LARS (Laurel Advocacy and Referral Services) will hold its Turkey Trot and 1 mile walk at McCullough Field, 8th and Montgomery Street, on November 23rd at 8:00 am. Registration is $35.00 now and $40.00 in November. Register at : https://register.chronotrack.com/r/30685.

UNITED IN PRAYER – STATE MISSIONS OFFERING

This offering supports local evangelism projects in the Maryland/Delaware area. A prayer guide is available in the foyer kiosk for specific prayer needs focused on local outreach. Use the envelopes in the foyer kiosk or indicate State Missions on your check. We have currently collected: $4,126.
