#1 40 DAYS OF LOVE – WE WERE MADE FOR RELATIONSHIPS

A new and exciting spiritual growth campaign for the church called “40 Days of Love: We Were Made for Relationships” will begin February 26th. It will be an important time of growth for the church family, and for you individually. Sign up for a small group! Fill out the insert and turn them in at the display in the lobby.

#2 DISCOVERING MEMBERSHIP

Pastor Stan’s next “Discovering Membership at FBCL” course will be Sunday, February 12th, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm in the Conference room. It is required for membership at FBCL. It features a course notebook, a PowerPoint presentation, and 3 hours fellowship with Pastor Stan. You can sign up for this class on our website: www.FBCLaurel.com and click on “Discovering Membership” when it appears on the “Featured” banner on the homepage.

Middle & High School Girls

The MS and HS girls will be starting regular community groups starting in February. Senior High Girls meet Every 1st and 3rd MONDAY at 7:00 pm. Middle School Girls meet every 2nd and 4th MONDAY at 7:00 pm. Contact Misty Pearson, through the church office, for more details and location.

Introduction to Laurel Pregnancy Center Ministry

YOU CAN SERVE WITH LAUREL PREGNANCY CENTER! LPC will host its Introduction to LPC Ministry on February 20th and 23rd from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the LPC. There are many ways to volunteer: CORE Care Clinic (nurses, lay counselors, ultrasound technicians, medical technicians, receptionists); Nurturing & Support Services (class facilitators, instructors, mentors, prayer leaders). We have opportunities for women and men. The session is an orientation that highlights our history, mission and biblical philosophy of care. The fee for this orientation is $35.00. To register, contact Cheryl Dudek through the church office.

Children’s Membership and Baptism Class

The next series of eight baptism and new members classes for children will begin on Sunday, February 5th at 10:45 am, in room B110. Pastor Emmanuel teaches this class to children, up to grade 6, who have come forward to request membership or would like to learn about baptism. Parents are asked to attend the first class with their children.

God is working in the hearts of our church family; the leadership conference had the largest participation of any of our recent Bible studies! #1 YOUTH CAKE AUCTION

This evening is the annual cake auction held by the FBC youth. The evening begins with an early worship service starting at 6:00 pm. After the service, at 7:00 pm the cake auction starts. Check out the creative culinary concoctions, presented by “The City” – FBC’s youth group. The funds raised through the cake auction go toward helping the youth go to camps, on mission trips and other youth sponsored trips.

Early Sunday Evening Service

Join us on Sunday, January 29th at 6:00 pm in the Chapel for an early Sunday evening worship service. Pastor Emmanuel will be presenting a new message series exploring core biblical truths. After the evening service check out the youth cake auction sponsored by the FBC Youth group. The proceeds from the auction go towards helping members of the youth group go to summer camps and mission trips.

Extend-A-Hand Food & Clothing Needs

Food Pantry: pop top cans of soup, vegetables, fruit etc, canned meat and dry milk are desperately needed. Volunteer/volunteers are needed to pick up quality produce every Monday. Additional volunteers are needed to repackage and distribute the produce to the area poor every Monday afternoon and Tuesday. Donations of gallon and quart size zip-loc bags are needed. Clothes Closet: we are in desperate need of boys clothes from toddler to small adult sizes. Coats, winter wear, and shoes are also needed. Contact Cheryl Rowe through the church office.
